Well, as promised we have new exciting fitness classes commencing in 2 weeks at DFDS.

Come and join the “Euro Duo” in their new ZUMBA FUSION dance classes.

Zumba Fusion is a new, crazy combination of Zumba and Fitness and as seen on TV it is all about feeling the music and keeping fit.

With professional dance background the “Euro Duo” strive to make all classes energetic and fun.

They both enjoy entertaining pupils at the same time as giving them a super workout  !  !

Congratulations to all of our pupils who passed their theory and practical examinations on Sunday May 6th at the studio.

Everyone looked great and all achieved “highly commended” passes. Thanks to the teachers and partners who , as usual, did an excellent job in partnering on exam day.

Just need to clarify something that I wrote previously about judging again in Moscow later this year. ( Had soooooo many emails about this subject )

I have been invited to judge again at a different event, so that part I was not joking about……..but I was joking about forming a queue.

I am fairly sure that I will accept, it is not for a few months.

At DFDS we have new different classes commencing soon so keep checking the blog

Thanks for your emails and positive comments about the blogging whilst we were away….AND   YES    it is very hard to keep that amount of blogging going but I will try   !

: We have an Adult  ” Beginners A ” Course commencing on THURSDAY MAY 17th at 8pm to 9pm. Pupils will learn the basic figures in the most popular social dances and this course is for people who have never danced before. It is an 8 week course.  No contracts and deposits ; Just pay CASH as you go. Phone me for full details.

We also have an Adult Silver Ballroom  Examination Course commencing on MONDAY MAY 14th at 7pm to 8pm. The correct figures and technique will be taught in the Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep. Pupils will have to have previously attained their Bronze and Bronze Cross Exam with  Dance Masters International Association or a similar accredited association. Phone me for all the details.

And speaking of examinations, we have theory and practical examinations at DFDS on Sunday…..so  good luck to all the candidates…you are all well prepared so dance your best and enjoy  your exam.

WOW   !     … Thank you everyone for so many emails about the blogs whilst we were away. …Really glad that you enjoyed them. Only bad thing is that CV now says ( even louder than ever)      SEE   !    I keep telling you ,  you must blog more often  . !   !  ?      Great to be home and today had the childrens class and lovely to see all their smiling faces.

To all the adults who have contacted me earlier this year to say they will return to class when it is cooler………….. WELL  the weather is now just perfect for dancing., so  I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday night.

TO NEW CLIENTS to DFDS I offer you a complimentary pass for 2 to the Adult Social Class ( Instruction available if required ) 8pm to 10pm valid only on WEDNESDAY MAY 2nd. Just say the code phrase  to the receptionist……..  And you will never guess the code words……………………..OMG             ” From Russia with Love “           and no you don’t have to kiss anyone.

I will confirm the commencing date of the new Beginners A Course tomorrow and also advise some exciting different clasees that will be commencing in about 3 weeks.

Also learnt a different type of fun dance where you change partners to bright , fun music.( It’s amazing what judges do in the VIP suites at World Championships in between judging their events.)   I can’t pronounce it in Russian so I call it a Russian Swing Dance

Must go and sort out the new music.

It won’t be quite as exciting as the past to weeks, but having written that every day is an exciting fun filled day at DFDS. It was really lovely to walk back into my studio to see the smiling faces and the “welcome backs” etc. I missed them all.

We have lots happening at the studio, a new Beginners A Social course commencing within 2 weeks, exams on May 6th and a Family Cabaret and Medal Presentation Night on Saturday May 26th,,plus, plus plus.

And now that the weather is just perfect for dancing ; Don’t forget our Wednesday Night Adult Classes and Wednesday morning Adult/Seniors Class. Great fun

NO , I wasn’t joking about being invited to judage again in Russia, I have not confirmed if I will accept or not BUT there are 5 people in the queue already.

Enjoyed the company of Bob and Jill from England also pictured. They were great fun.

The floorshow was FANTASTIC. and very hard to describe,  a guy dressed in very traditional elaborate attire with a big kind of skirt . The amazing part of  it all was that he spun very very fast for 10 minutes non stop with the skirt flying out ;  did not spot and transferred his weight all the time, and used hats and fans to make different shapes  which he threw off to the same spot very time .Towards the end his whole costume lit up ……very entertaining  we loved it. picture incl.

We leave very late tomorrow night so this is the final blog from Dubai.

Walked to Dubai Mall again …….. just had to buy new tops ..sick of looking like a fat strawberry in the photos.   Saw the Aquarium and another shopping mall; had lunch at the PotBelly Cafe. Afternoon tea and a macaroon in the beautiful cafe TWG  where there was over 200 types of tea. No I did not have Earl Grey  Back at hotel for a quick shower and change for the cruise and Dinner on the biggest wooden dhow in the world.
